Mr. Nadeem Mahbub, a BPS-21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), currently holds the position of Secretary at the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination. Before this role, he served as the Special Secretary of the Ministry of Interior.
Throughout his career, he has worked in different capacity at various levels, such as districts, projects, and ministries, both at federal and provincial levels. He has served as Provincial Secretary at the Higher Education Department, Housing and Public Health Engineering Department, as well as the Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism Department at Punjab.
At the field level, he remained posted as Commissioner Sargodha Division, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Khanewal, Assistant Commissioner Kohat and Peshawar in KP, and in Loarlai, Balochistan. Additionally, Mr. Mahbub has contributed significantly in administrative capacities, having served as Additional Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office and Chief Minister's Office Lahore (2014 to 2016). Furthermore, he has dedicated his expertise to international endeavours, working full-time on deputation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Islamabad from 2005-2010.
Academically, Mr. Mahbub has obtained a degree of Master in Development Management from the University of Manchester in 2003 on chevening scholarship.
